Long-predicted rain began in Bundaberg on Monday September 20 with the region receiving 34mm by 4pm. The wet weather is expected to last until at least Wednesday.
IT MAY not be quite enough to give the region a good soaking, but the Bureau of Meteorology has confirmed things will be a tad damper next week.
UPDATE 8AM: BoM have cancelled a severe thunderstorm warning for northern Wide Bay but a severe weather warning for the region is still in place.
DAMS in the region are bursting at the seams after a huge influx of water around the area.
FIVE separate car crashes occurred in the Bundaberg region during the wet weather yesterday.
THE dreary start to the school holidays is expected to continue for a few days, with rain forecast until at least tomorrow.
