Youth orchestra performance moved to November 15

THE performers were rehearsed, the stage was set, and guests were just arriving when the power went out at Bundaberg Youth Orchestra's End of Year Prom Concert on Sunday afternoon.

The Youth Orchestra Committee decided to postpone their concert until next Sunday, November 15 at the same venue, Shalom Performing Arts Precincts and at the same time 2pm.

President, Narelle Chivers said, "It was just not feasible to go ahead with the scheduled concert without power.

"The members have been rehearsing so well that to go ahead without any lights or power would have been difficult for the members and disappointing for our audience".

"We would like to apologise to our guests for postponing however circumstances were beyond our control. It is probably the first time in our 40 year history where the End of Year Concert was cancelled on the day".

If members of the public were unable to make to the Concert on Sunday, November 8, then you now have the opportunity to see Bundaberg's two youth orchestras perform on Sunday, November 15.

Venue:  Shalom Performing Arts Precinct
Time:  2pm
Tickets: $15 Adults $10 concessions, 12 years and under free
