YOUR SAY: Russia will deliver a quick end to war
RUSSIA has entered the Syrian war with mean determination. They have been accused of striking targets not directly related to Daesh.
Should we be surprised at this? Russia has been the military supplier of Assad since the conflict started and it is certain they have entered the war to see it quickly resolved: in Assad's favour.
A few years ago when Russia went to war with Georgia, they wrapped it up in no time. I think we can expect them to do the same with the Syrian situation. We may soon see Russian troops on the ground in Syria directly engaging the enemies of Assad. What will NATO and the US do when this war is quickly ended? They will have to accept the inevitable or directly confront the Russians, and they don't have the stomach for that.
