Your restaurant is 'hell in a shell': girl, 12, writes

MANY 12-year-olds will criticise the food they're given on holiday, but it's more likely about the lack of chicken nuggets than the quality of the local delicacies.

But the daughter of a British chef proved she has developed a taste for finer things after writing a scathing review of a Spanish restaurant during her summer holiday.

The daughter of River Cottage head chef Gill Meller was so horrified by her meal at the unnamed eatery she penned a scathing review on a napkin, The Sun reports.

Meller posted a picture of the note on Instagram with the caption: "Even first-hand restaurant recommendations can be way off the mark, unfortunately.

"Here with my youngest daughter's review (left on a napkin) of tonight's somewhat alarming supper."

In the review, the 12-year-old said the food tasted like "camp shop s**t".

"I feel as if your calamri [sic] should be more crispy and your garlic mayo is discusting [sic].

"Your water is warm and makes me chunder."

She continued: "You need to provide butter with your bread and clean the table when people are finished.

"AKA your restraunt [sic] is hell in a shell."

The review has attracted hundreds of likes and comments, with many people praising the child's way with words.

One Instagrammer called Thesaralovejoy said: "Hell in a shell might just become my go to phrase."

Another called Elvanht said: "Haha, what would you expect, with you as father, the standards are high."
