Your chance to drive like Magnum P.I.

IF YOU'VE always wanted to 'burn rubber' like Magnum P.I. in all his moustachioed glory, now is your chance.

The only catch is, you need to get to Scottsdale, Arizona, in lightning speed for when an authentic 1984 Ferrari 308 GTS Quattrovalvole that appeared on the classic detective show goes to auction.

Yes! You could own the very same Ferrari that was driven by Thomas Magnum (aka Tom Selleck) himself.

Magnum and his Ferrari 'side-kick' captured the hearts of millions throughout the 1980s, as they sped around the streets of Hawaii in the pursuit of justice.

According to the auction house Bonhams, this was one of the later models that was used for filming Magnum P.I. in 1984 and 1985,

But the 232-horsepower V8-powered Ferrari won't come cheap, with Bonhams estimating the vehicle will sell for between $US150,000 and $US250,000 - that's AU$ 200,000 - 330,000.

The auction will take place at 11.00am MST on Thursday, January 19, in Scottsdale, Arizona - that's 5am AEDT on Friday.
