Young, inexperienced and doing 41kmh over limit
POLICE have hit out at reckless and dangerous drivers after fining 29 people including a P-plater caught a more than 40kmh over the limit.
Crows Nest police and Toowoomba Road Policing Unit officers issued 29 tickets in a road blitz over the past two weeks, including a P-plate driver caught doing 141kmh in a 100kmh zone.
"This person will be losing their licence for six months as a result," Sergeant Greg Dawes said.
"For any driver this is reckless, not only putting themselves at risk but other road users.
"Add driver inexperience to the mix and it might be a good thing this person won't be on our roads for a while."
Police also charged a 42-year-old woman intercepted on the New England Hwy at Crows Nest on September 7 after she returned a positive roadside drug test.
