Young camper flown to hospital by RACQ CareFlight Rescue
THE Bundaberg-based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter flew to Como near the Noosa North Shore area yesterday to help a 10-year-old boy with possible abdominal injuries.
It's understood the boy had been playing in the area when he fell into some shrubs and began complaining of abdominal pain.
Family and friends who the boy had been camping with created a make-shift stretcher and carried him out of dense bushland.
The boy was assessed on-site by CareFlight's medical team.
He was then flown to Nambour General Hospital in a stable condition.
