Too old to learn? Never!

“ABSOLUTELY hectic” were the words used to describe the University of the Third Age (U3A) orientation day yesterday.

U3A Bundaberg president Nina Higgins said the number of people who turned up to the event at CQUniversity was “just incredible”.

“All of the computer classes were instantly filled up,” Mrs Higgins said.

“We had so many people that we added an extra class.”

Mrs Higgins said language and writing classes were also popular.

“Things like tai chi also filled up quickly,” she said.

“We even have tai chi in wheelchairs, which I think is just wonderful.”

Mrs Higgins said the day was also a good chance for members to meet and mingle.
