‘Yes’: Ch 7 star and AFL player engaged
AFL player Luke Brooksby may be out of contract following the 2020 season, but he's become a big winner this off-season.
The former Gold Coast, West Coast and Hawthorn player got down on one knee and popped the question to former AFLW star turned Channel 7 commentator Abbey Holmes.

Both Brooksby and Holmes shared the photos of the incredible moment, which took place at Uluru, to their personal Instagram accounts.
"Perfect moment, perfect person, perfect location," Brooksby wrote alongside an engagement ring emoji.
Holmes, the former Adelaide Crows AFLW star, went into a bit more detail about the moment with her uploads.
"And then on our own private sand dune, in the heart of Australia, I SAID YES," she wrote.
"I can't wait to marry you @kjbrooksby! My best friend. The organised to my chaos. My rock. I love you."
The newly engaged couple uploaded several images of the moment along with others showing them kissing, laughing and Holmes showing off her new rock.
The pair have been holidaying in the Northern Territory when Brooksby pulled off the surprise proposal.
Brooksby played one game in 2020 for Hawthorn, taking his AFL career tally to 15 games. He played 14 games for the Gold Coast Suns between 2015 and 2017.
Holmes retired from the AFLW following the 2018 season where she played a total of 11 games for the Crows.
Her move to behind the microphone has seen her become a star of the network and saw her land a role in the commentary team for the 2020 AFL Grand Final.
