Wool needed for top teds

AUSTRALIAN Red Cross, Bundaberg Branch always requires 8-ply wool for knitting Trauma Teddies as its stocks are continuously being used up.

Anyone who is able to donate wool to the Trauma Teddy program can telephone 4151 3096.

Alternatively, take it along to the activities day conducted on the second Thursday of each month at the Agnes Baker Rooms in the Wide Bay Australia Building, Barolin Street.

The team of crafters make items for retail sale to assist with fund raising and look after the Red Cross Trauma Teddy program.

The activities group also makes up comfort bags for use at the local hospitals and makes a range of knee rugs and bed socks for Christmas gifts for residents of local aged persons’ facilities.

Members meet from 9.30am until12.30pm and a free morning tea is provided. The next activity day is February 11.

For more information, telephone 4151 3096 and leave a message for Margaret Bradshaw.
