Woodgate arts warm up winter

THE Woodgate Art Exhibition and free outdoor jazz concert will be held tomorrow and Saturday.

Woodgate Arts in Winter will celebrate its third year of activity.

Creative Regional co-director Judy Pippen said more than 400 people had attended last year's event, but this year was set to be even better.

“I was stunned to see the collection of regional arts we have on offer,” she said.

“It's one of the best line-ups I have ever seen.”

She said people could attend tomorrow night's dinner with entertainment and a three-course meal.

“For $55 you get the whole deal from champagne to entertainment to dinner,” she said.

From 9am Saturday people can view the art display and from 11am can buy food.

People can bring their own picnic to a free concert on Saturday between 11.30am and 4.30pm.

It is expected to draw a large crowd, and people are asked to take their own chairs.

Jazz Addiction has played in restaurants, cafes and clubs across the Wide Bay, Bundaberg and Sunshine Coast and will provide some of the entertainment.

The Bundy Stage Band will perform rhythmic classics to keep everyone swinging.

To purchase tickets for tomorrow night's dinner or for more information contact Helen Brett on 4126 8081.
