Woman winched off Fraser Is after Irukandji jellyfish sting
A WOMAN has been winched off Fraser Island after being stung by a suspected Irukandji jellyfish.
The Bundaberg-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter airlifted the woman in her early-twenties after the sting off the coast of Fraser Island.
She was transported to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition.
