"CONTENT doesn't matter right, boss?"

That was what Marina Shifrin wrote on Twitter when she posted a link to her most recent YouTube upload.

In her video Ms Shifrin dances on a desk and even in a toilet cubicle to a Kanye West song, aptly named Gone, as text appears on the screen.

"I work for an awesome company that produces news videos," the text reads.

"For almost two years I've sacrificed my relationships, time and energy for this job.

"And my boss only cares about quantity and how many views each video gets."

Ms Shifrin then declared her intention to make 'one' video that focused on content and before sharing her decision to quit.

Media from around the world have picked up the story and the video, posted on Saturday, has already had more than 30,000 views.

One commenter opined that there was much more to the story and that the video was probably a last resort.

"I doubt this will hurt her in the long run. Public shaming of the company? I don't think so. No stories, no accusations and no invective. She simply quit. Good for her!"

Ms Shifrin's reponse was straight to the point.

"You are a very smart man."
