Woman dead in horrific dog attack
A WOMAN has died following a dog attack in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The attack happened in the Canberra suburb of Watson just before 4am.
A man has been taken to hospital following injuries he sustained in the attack.
Police say at 3.40am, they were called to a home following reports a dog had attacked two people.
When police arrived at the property they were also attacked by the animal. As a result, the dog was shot dead. A woman died at the scene.
