Woman dies after she was hit by a truck at Blackbutt

Update: Wednesday 11.30am

THE 70-year-old Blackbutt woman critically injured after she was hit by a truck at Blackbutt yesterday died in hospital this morning.

The driver of the truck, a 40-year-old man, was not injured.

Investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit are continuing.

A WOMAN was severely injured after she was hit by a truck near Blackbutt this morning.

The woman, in her 60s, was crossing the D'Aguilar Hwy on the outskirts of Blackbutt when she was hit by the truck about 9.30am.

She suffered serious head injuries.

The woman was airlifted by RACQ LifeFlight Sunshine Coast helicopter to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a critical condition.
