Woman, 66, dies after Ningi crash

A NEW Moonta woman, 66, has died after being involved in a two-vehicle crash in Ningi on Saturday.

Police said two sedans collided at the intersection of Peel and Bribie Island Rds shortly before noon.

"A 66-year-old woman, who was a passenger in a sedan which was carrying four people, was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital where she was pronounced deceased," police said in a statement.

"The other occupants of the vehicles were taken to Caboolture Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

"The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating."
