Woman, 39, dies in car crash

A 39-year-old Morganville woman has died after her car crashed into a tree early on Saturday afternoon.

The woman was travelling along Walla Road, between Old Gayndah and Stevens roads, about 20 minutes south of Gin Gin, when the crash occurred at about 1.30pm.

Bundaberg Police Sergeant Steve Schultz said when police received the call the woman was unconscious and not breathing.

She had died by the time emergency crews reached the scene.
