Heavy rainfall headed our way

BREAKING: BUNDABERG residents will need to batten down the hatches after the Bureau of Meteorology issued a severe weather warning late this afternoon, predicting possible localised flooding.

Bundaberg Regional Council warn the bureau's predictions suggest heavy rainfall will be expected along coastal areas, including Bundaberg, with about 150mm of rainfall possible within the next 24 hours, which could lead to flash flooding.

Mayor Lorraine Pyefinch said residents were advised to take care on the roads and to keep out of flooded waterways.
