Which is the correct way to slice a piece of toast?

ASK any child and they're bound to tell you EXACTLY how they want their toast cut.

And don't even get us started on the crusts.

Any parent worth their multigrain attempts will tell you that if you don't follow their instructions to a T, said toast will not be consumed.

But apparently, adults suffer from toast OCD as well.

A Twitter post from British student Hallam Nation has sparked a heated debate about the correct methodology.

Twitter user @jnttabi responded: "[I don't know] why but when I was younger the triangle always tasted better than the rectangle."

Twitter user @TommyRaketic was outraged by the square cut. "Never in my life seen toast cut like 3, outrageous," he wrote.

Meanwhile, @Jack Skellington said: "If you cut your toast long ways, throw your whole life in the bin you creature."

If only our children could Tweet!
