We’ve been there to document history and reflect on it

BUNDABERG has a long, proud history - and the NewsMail has been there to witness most of it.

We've been there over the decades and centuries to witness first hand the events, people and developments that have shaped the region, and we've also built a strong reputation in more recent years of bringing you special history publications to remind modern readers of the foundations their region was built on.

The NewsMail led regional newspapers across the state and country with its 100 Years of News publication in 1999, followed in 2009 by a 10-year update publication called Bundaberg in Print. Sister edition Bundaberg in Pictures came out in 2010, followed by Bundaberg and the Four Elements in 2012, and the Bundaberg Hall of Fame in 2014.

Plus, every week, our Hindsight section focuses on the way we were.

Our heritage is something to be cherised. To view our online slideshow capturing aspects of Bundaberg's rich tapestry of history, go to www.news-mail.com.au/video. And don't miss the rest of our 12-part online We Were There series.

Don't forget to follow our daily We Were There over the next fortnight.
