Wendy's weight is over: three years on

IT'S been three years since Wendy Boshammer did the incredible.

The Chinchilla local, then 36, had weighed 142.2kg when she decided in October 2013 something drastically needed to change.

After 15 gruelling months, Ms Boshammer clawed her way to her goal weight of 85kg.

Since then, Ms Boshammer has kept the weight off and maintained her healthy lifestyle, and now she has decided she wants to help those still battling the bulge.

"Who better to help them? I've been there, I've struggled and I've done it,” Ms Boshammer said.

As she nears the completion of her certificate IV in weight management, Ms Boshammer has launched, Basix Weight Management, to "help people help themselves change their lives”.

Last month, Ms Boshammer stepped up the ante, joining her mother and sister for 'Steptember' - an annual fundraising event for cerebral palsy sufferers.

"The reason why I chose to do it comes from where I was and how hard it was to move around as an obese person [and knowing] there are people with cerebral palsy who have to live with that every day.”
