Weather causes havoc on roads

THE wet weather was to blame for two separate car crashes in the city this morning, with three people needing hospital treatment for minor injuries.

Bundaberg Police Sergeant Mike McLellan said the first crash happened at 7.17am on the intersection of FE Walker and Quehee Sts.

"One person was taken to hospital with minor injuries," he said.

Shortly after two vehicles collided on Takalvan St, just outside the Brothers Sports Club.

A further two people were taken to hospital for minor injuries.

Sgt McLellan urged drivers to take it easy on the roads, particularly during the bout of wet weather predicted to continue in the city this week.
