Weather: Bundy to get an early taste of summer
RESIDENTS could be swapping between blankets and bikinis as the skies change things up in the region.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology, an upper level ridge is moving over Queensland that will give us plenty of warmth going into the weekend.
Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Adam Blazak said the next few days would be warmer than what we'd usually expect in winter.
Troughs and ridges explained:
"We're going for 26 degrees and for this time of year we can expect Bundy should get up to 22 degrees for this time of year so about four degrees above average," he said.
He said there would also be clear skies, making perfect beach weather for the weekend.
But we shouldn't put the jumpers away just yet.
Next week a south westerly burst is set to bring temperatures back down to normal for the time of year.
