Waves division two upsets

A DAMIEN Noffke four on the final ball of the match sealed the biggest upset of the Bundaberg Cricket Association season as Across The Waves' division two side defeated Country Wests at Salter Oval yesterday afternoon.

Two runs were needed on the final ball of the match but the Across the Waves batsmen was able to hit the ball for four and secure a victory.

Without stars Mat Fleming, Travis Henke and Murray Wenzel, Wests were unable to dispose of their second division opponents.

Across The Waves were bouyed by a superb 60 runs for Lachlan Donovan.

While Phil Proctor and Scott Irwin provided the majority of runs for Country Wests.

The Twenty20 champions finished with a total of 201 runs.

Across The Waves won the match by three wickets with a total of 7-204.
