WATCH: What is this in the skies above Bundaberg?

A BUNDABERG woman who doesn't want to be named claims she saw two unusual lights in the night sky over Bundaberg on Wednesday night.

>> Multiple theories over what caused bright light over Queensland

The claims come a day after people from Beenleigh to Rockhampton reported seeing a blinding bright light and hearing a sonic boom that was powerful enough that it shook some people's windows.

The Bundaberg woman said she had been inspired by recent events to go and watch the night sky when she noticed something unusual.

"I first saw what looked like a really bright, golden star to the east," she said.

"It seemed just like a big, pretty star so I just watched it for a while, and then I noticed another bright light in the southern direction.

"The southern light was huge and looked golden and was pulsating and making slow, jagged zig-zag movements.

"I thought it wasn't a plane because planes have a flashing light, and they move in a standard way.

"I wondered if it was just a star, but then it slowly started to get small, as if it was disappearing. I ran inside to get my camera and that light was gone shortly after I went back outside.

"It didn't get covered by clouds and it definitely wasn't a Chinese lantern or satellite. It was very unusual.

"As for the other light I'm still not sure if it was a giant star or not, but it seemed to change size and kept rising higher into the sky, but very slowly.

"I filmed the bright light to the east."
