VIDEO: Hellish inferno surrounds WA tanker driver

THIS is the hellish inferno that firefighters are forced to endure as blazes continue to threaten swathes of Western Australia.

Video taken from inside the cabin of a light tanker travelling through the fire-stricken region of Waroona gives an insight into the constant danger firefighters face, even when simply travelling from place to place.

In the video from WA web developer Templeman Twells , red-hot embers can be seen floating across in front of the truck as it hurtles through down the fire-lined path.

The driver says he is waiting for a tree to fall in front of them as the two-way radio chatters away.

A slow-motion video also captured the dangerous beauty of the blaze.

As of Monday morning, the region remains under a "watch and act alert" from the state's Department of Fire and Emergency Services although it has been downgraded slightly as weather improves.

Lives and homes are still at threat, even with the changes, according to the DFES.
