Verbatim theatre project is victims’ voice

BUNDABERG playwright Rod Ainsworth's latest project will be brought to life next month when his theatre project based on the region's struggle with domestic violence is performed for the first time.

Mr Ainsworth teamed up with interviewer Ross Peddlesden to speak to a dozen victims and perpetrators of domestic violence to create the raw and honest verbatim theatre project, It All begins with Love.

And next month it's set to hit the stage.

"Genevieve Houston at Relationships Australia has invited us to perform a reading at their debate which is planned for late May," Mr Ainsworth said.

Mr Ainsworth said he needed three more female performers to be part of the project.

If you'd like to find out more or volunteer as a performer, contact Mr Ainsworth by email at rod@creativeregions.com.au.
