Vandals strike CBD

JUBILEE Homes owner Chris Briggs is frustrated after vandals smashed two windows at his Barolin Street business.

Some time between 4.30pm on Tuesday and 8am yesterday, vandals threw rocks through the front windows of his company’s premises.

“It’s a nuisance more than anything,” Mr Briggs said.

But his business was not the only shop that suffered.

Innstyle Mensland, on Electra Street, also had its front window shattered by an unknown offender overnight on Tuesday.

“A brown glass bottle was thrown at the window,” Bundaberg Criminal Investigations Branch officer-in-charge Joe Hildred said.

Detective Senior Sergeant Hildred said detectives were investigating several cases of wilful damage that had occurred in the past few days, including another shattered window at the BP on the corner of Crofton and Barolin streets.

Anyone with information is asked to telephone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
