Ute-load of entries

THERE are six lucky winners in the NewsMail's Good Guys Big Wheel competition, which was drawn yesterday - but they don't know who they are yet.

The winning entries were drawn by brand development manager Lisa Prowd, but the winning entrants will not find out until their entries are verified and the details are published in tomorrow's NewsMail.

Readers had the chance to win thousands of dollars in electrical goods, including a 32-inch LG LCD television, an LG DVD home theatre, an LG DVD and CD stereo shelf system, a 5kg LG washer, a 25-litre LG microwave and a Nespresso coffee machine.

All they had to do was collect tokens each day in the NewsMail to go into the draw to win the great prizes.

And they entered in their thousands.

“We had more than 12,000 entries, which is huge,” Mrs Prowd said.

“We were surprised at the response but they are great prizes.”

In fact, there were enough entries to fill the back of a Falcon ute.

“(Member for Bundaberg) Jack Dempsey got in the back of the ute and was buried by entry forms.”

Mrs Prowd said the fridge was the most hotly contested item.

“It's been a very successful campaign, and leading into Christmas, we're looking at new competitions that can be used for gifts.”
