Two killed, one hurt in Leichhardt crash

POLICE are investigating a traffic crash that resulted in the death of two people last night in Leichhardt.

Initial investigations indicate that around 8.50pm, a sedan was travelling along Toongarra Road when it collided with a pole between Everdina and Aspinall streets.

The front passenger, a 20-year-old Laidley woman, and the driver, a 27-year-old Rosewood man were both pronounced deceased at the scene.

A 29-year-old Karrabin man, the rear passenger was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital and is now believed to be in a stable condition.

The Forensic Crash Unit is continuing investigations.
