Two killed in head-on crash

TWO men were killed this morning in a head-on smash at Yarrol, between Monto and Mt Perry.

It is believed a utility and sedan collided, some time before 7.20am today, on an unsealed section of the Monto-Mt Perry Road.

Both drivers are believed to have died at the scene.

AGL Action Rescue spokesman Colin Brown said the vehicles crashed head-on at the crest of a hill.
A woman in her 60s was trapped in the utility, with serious chest injuries.

Mr Brown said she was airlifted to Bundaberg Hospital in a critical condition.

The Bundaberg Police Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the smash.
