Two charged after alleged spate of offences

TWO Bundaberg men who allegedly committed a string of offences between Bundaberg and Gladstone have been arrested and charged.

Police will allege about 1pm on Friday the driver of a dark coloured Nissan coupe evaded police at Ricketts Rd, Burnett Heads.

The driver is also accused of doing a burnout near the Southside Shopping Complex.

A 26-year-old man was charged with dangerous driving and three counts of evading police at each Gladstone, Miriam Vale and Burnett Heads.

The car was also allegedly involved in drive-offs from two Bundaberg liquor stores.

A 21-year old man was charged with stealing after allegedly taking alcohol from a Bundaberg North and Bundaberg East bottle-shop.

Bundaberg Police spent Friday afternoon searching for the car before both men were arrested and charged in Gladstone by police late Friday night.

The men will appear in the Gladstone Magistrates Court on February 2.
