Two boys face arson charges

TWO people have been charged with arson following a fire that destroyed a Targo Street unit on Sunday.

Seventeen-year-old Michael Neville James Seymour, of Barolin Street, appeared in custody in Bundaberg Magistrates Court yesterday.

Police prosecutor Sergeant Robyn Shapcott said her instructions were to oppose the bail application.

But defence lawyer Nick Larter said his client could submit to a curfew and other conditions if he was released.

Magistrate Jennifer Batts granted the 17 year old's bail.

His matter was adjourned until November 9 for further mention.

A 16-year-old boy also appeared before the magistrate charged with one count of arson.
