Transformers tweet backfires hilariously
IT IS a high action, explosion-riddled blockbuster but when Paramount Pictures took to Twitter to ask "fans" to list their favourite moments, they were given a lesson in British sarcasm.
Transformers: Age of Extinction has earned more than $1 billion at box offices worldwide.
Transformers has grossed almost $25 million in Australia, making it the second highest-earning movie for the year so far, out performing X-Men: Days of Future Past, Wolf of Wall Street and fast catching up to The Lego Movie which pulled $27.7 million.
But critics have long-panned the franchise, with director Michael Bay the subject of endless jokes about needless explosions and his over-the-top signature style.
Those critics were just waiting for an invitation like this from Paramount.

@ParamountUK The racial stereotyping was pretty EPIC. The overuse of lens flares? Am I getting warmer?

@ParamountUK the most epic moment in Transformers is the epic nap I took in the theater. Comfy seats

Of course, at least one person was a fan.
@ParamountUK The most EPIC moment was when Optimus Prime killed that uber sleazebag Attinger. Geez I really really hated that guy !
