Three children injured in school bus, truck crash
UPDATE FRIDAY 5.30AM: THREE children were treated for minor injuries after their school bus was involved in a crash with a truck on Thursday afternoon.
Around 3.20pm, the bus and truck collided nose-to-tail on Brisbane Service Rd behind a secondary college.
In addition to the children injured, the male bus and truck drivers were also treated for minor injuries.
The truck driver was then transported to Ipswich Hospital as a precaution.
Paramedics examined all 42 children who were on board at the time of the crash.
Arrangements were made for parents or guardians to collect the children from the school.
INITIAL: ONE patient is in hospital after a traffic crash at Riverview this afternoon.
Police report the collision between a bus and a truck occurred on Brisbane Rd at 3.31pm.
Paramedics initially treated four individuals at the scene but only one required transport to Ipswich Hospital with a minor injury.
Delays to traffic are expected in and around the crash with lanes blocked in both directions.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area and use an alternative route.
