Tough test for Isis in Cup battle tonight

WINLESS in their opening two clashes, Isis Crushers come up against an in-form Barbarians outfit in tonight’s Spring Cup fixtures.

Isis have faced two crushing losses since returning to Bundaberg Rugby Union after being ejected over unpaid insurance fees in the winter season.

The club’s pursuit of a sole win will not come easily against the Barbarians, who were clinical in disposing of Alloway Falcons last week.

The winter competition premiers were fired up for the grand final replay last week, destroying Falcons 19-7.

Falcons will look to turn that result around when they take on Buccaneers in the late game tonight.

Buccaneers will be playing for pride after being savaged by Hervey Bay Mariners last weekend.

Mariners, the competition favourites, have the bye after beating Buccaneers 58-24 last weekend.
