Toni Childs hits Mundubbera

MUNDUBBERA can expect an influx of fans this weekend, with performer Toni Childs set to stop in the regional town during her Australian tour.

North Burnett mayor Joy Jensen said she would be one of many residents queuing up for tickets.

“Being a fan, I’m very impressed that she is stopping in Mundubbera, I can tell you,” she said.

“Even my husband is thinking of coming with me, which is really good.”

Cr Jensen said it was not every day a renowned singer-songwriter performed in the North Burnett.

“We hope the community will support a well-known star coming to Mundubbera,” she said.

“I will be lining up to get tickets.”

Cr Jensen said the Mundubbera Community Development Association had played a key role in getting Childs to perform in the area.

Association development officer John Sharp said the concert would be a great opportunity for community members to hear an international performer in their own back yard.

Childs will showcase her latest album, Keep The Faith, and perform her blockbuster hits.

The singer is best known for her critically acclaimed debut album Union, which went double platinum in Australia, selling 200,000 copies.

Childs’ concert will take place this Sunday, October 17, from 8pm.
