UPDATE: Toddler drowns in inflatable pool
UPDATE: A CHILD has died after being pulled from an inflatable pool in a southeast Queensland backyard.
The boy was fighting for life after he was found in the inflatable pool on Tuesday afternoon at a Morayfield residence, north of Brisbane.
He died in hospital on Wednesday.
Police say the death is not suspicious but a report will now be prepared for the coroner.
EARLIER: A TODDLER is reportedly fighting for life after nearly drowning in an inflatable pool in a southeast Queensland backyard.
The two-year-old boy was taken to Lady Cilento Hospital in a critical condition at 4.45pm yesterday, Queensland Ambulance Service said.

It comes as a young girl was taken to a Gold Coast hospital today after a near-drowning in a pool at a Varsity Lakes property.
QAS said the girl was taken in a stable condition.

There have also been several rescues on the state's beaches today, with at least four people rescued this morning.
Yesterday more than 40 people were rescued in southeast Queensland waters.
