Today’s live stream schedule for QLD schools basketball

Two unbeaten Gold Coast-based schools will clash in a local derby block buster this morning as the Molten Champion Basketball Schools Queensland Championships hots up.

Competition heavyweights Hillcrest Christian College will play fellow unbeaten side Southport SHS in a schoolgirl championship division clash on court two at the Cornubia Park Sports Complex at 9.20am.

Both teams are four wins from four games, although Hillcrest have a superior for and against percentage.

At the same time as that match, on the other side of the draw, reigning champions St Margaret's Mary College were up against local side Marsden SHS.

Marsden SHS, beaten by just one point by Palm Beach Currumbin yesterday, enter with a 2-1 win,loss record are sure to have a vocal band of local supporters cheering them on.

Marsden will have to try and break down a St Margaret's Mary outfit which has conceded just 167 across its qualifying three matches.

After three rounds in Pool B, Hillcrest Christ College, runners-up to St Margaret's Mary last year, have an even better defensive record having conceded just 125 points.

Their opponents Southport SHS were also travelling beautifully and a match of semi-final intensity was expected.

In the other girls championship division pool A games Canterbury College play Brisbane State High School (9.20am), St James College take on Mountain Creek SHS (9.20am), Palm Beach Currumbin play West Moreton Anglican College (8am) and All Hallows School play John Paul College (9.20am).

The BSHS and Canterbury clash is of interest as both have a 2-2 win,loss record.

The boys Championship Division hots up this morning with the start of the quarterfinals.

Churchie, Ipswich Grammar School, Toowoomba Grammar School and The Southport School are motoring along nicely, with St Edmund's College, St James, BSHS and St Joseph's Gregory Terrace hot on their heels.

It remains anyone's tournament at this stage.
