Three-time national champ rates Bundy table tennis

AUSTRALIAN junior table tennis champion Jake Duffy has rated Bundaberg as one of the best places in the state for the sport.

Last week the Gold Coast native was in the region for come and try days at Bundaberg Table Tennis.

The three-time national champion and Australian No.8 taught young players skills and techniques to improve their game.

And Duffy praised the region for their work in promoting the sport.

"Everything they are doing here in Bundaberg is unreal,” he said.

"I wish that we (Gold Coast) could do it as well as what these guys are doing.”

Duffy said Bundy development officer Dave Delpratt did a great job.

"Dave does a really good job going to the schools and getting kids to the club,” he said.

"There are so many kids in the schools playing table tennis.”

Duffy finished by saying the sport was on the right track in Australia.

Those interested in playing can go to a junior coaching session tomorrow night at the club at 7pm.
