Three backpackers hurt in crash

THREE Korean backpackers were taken to hospital yesterday after a collision between a sedan and a LandCruiser on the corner of Windermere and Hummock Rds.

A Queensland Ambulance Services spokesman said one of the five backpackers in the sedan, a woman in her 20s, was in a serious but stable condition with neck and abdominal injuries.

The other two were both stable, one with a chest injury and the other with shoulder and back injuries.

The seriously injured woman had to be cut out of the vehicle.
