Young local artist's work on display for road safety campaign

THE work of one budding young Bundaberg artist will be part of a Queensland Police Service (QPS) road safety social media campaign over the school holidays.

Member for Bundaberg Leanne Donaldson congratulated Walkervale State School student Shania White for being one of 10 children whose art features in the Your Kids Are Telling You campaign.

"We put out the call to schools across Queensland to get involved and create road safety posters that the QPS could use on social media during the winter school holidays," Ms Donaldson said.

"The Bundaberg community got right behind this campaign and I'm pleased that we have been able to partner with our schools to spread the road safety message."

Shania's poster will feature on the QPS Facebook page and Twitter account as part of the campaign from June 27.

The campaign will run alongside Operation Cold Snap, targeting bad driver behaviour during holidays.
