The Waves confident of a good performance

LEAGUE: The Waves coach Antonio Kaufusi believes last week was a blessing in disguise for the team's finals campaign.

Poor at training and not at their best, they were beaten 16-10 by Wests and now face an elimination final against Brothers today.

Talking ahead of the clash Kaufusi said the team had trained better this week but needed to perform well.

"The boys need to turn up otherwise the same result will happen,” he said.

"It's the first time in nine years the Tigers have made the finals, so it would be nice to give the fans a win.”

With the team not executing right last week, Kaufusi said the result would hinge on what they could do differently.

"We've got to focus on what we do, regardless of what Brothers do during the game,” he said.

"Everyone is ready to play and there are no injury concerns as our season goes on the line.”
