The Turnbull Government's export business app

THE Turnbull Government has announced the launch of an app to help Australian businesses become exporters.

Export Essentials, which is available for Apple and Android devices through app stores, has been developed to help new exporters and more established businesses.

It covers a range of topics, ranging from an introduction to exporting, through to more advanced content such as managing currency risk, finance solutions and export licences and regulations.

Among a wealth of information, there are templates and key contacts to help small businesses develop and implement their export strategies, as well as a contact list of organisations to help businesses achieve their export goals.

Information in the app will be updated on a regular basis to respond to changes in the local and global environment.

Trade Minister Steven Ciobo said the app was the latest tool from the Turnbull Government to help small businesses take full advantage of the free trade agreements with the north Asian powerhouse economies of China, Japan and South Korea.

Export Essentials was developed through a partnership between the Export Finance and Insurance Corporation and the Export Council of Australia.

The app is free.
