Teenages boys arrested after motorbike theft

TWO teenage boys appeared in the Toowoomba Magistrate's Court yesterday morning after the stole a trail motorbike earlier in the week.

One of the boys was remanded to youth detention and the other was released on bail.

Police alleged the boys, one 13-years-old and the other 15-years-old, stole the trail motorbike from a Harristown residence between 7.30pm on September 21 and 6am on September 23.

Police said before the boys were arrested on Friday night in Water and Stephen sts, there were multiple sightings of them riding around the city on the stolen bike.

The boys were charged with multiple offences, including intent for stealing property, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and various other traffic related offences.

They were arrested at 5.50pm on Friday.
