Teen pulled from surf after taking in water

PARAMEDICS were called to help a teenager pulled from the surf at a popular Coast beach.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said they were called at 11.55am to help an 18-year-old girl at Coolum Surf Life Saving Club in Coolum Beach.

The spokesman said there were reports the teenager had taken on three or four mouthfuls of water before she was rescued.

"She was pulled out really quickly," the spokesman said.

He said the woman did not require hospitalisation.
