Teen apologises for abusing police while drunk

A 17-YEAR-OLD schoolboy has apologised for his drunken behaviour at a party in late May when he abused police.

Kye Damon Scott Platz yesterday pleaded guilty in Bundaberg Magistrates Court to being a public nuisance shortly after midnight on May 26 when police attended a party at Elliott Heads.

Barrister Craig Ryan said Platz became abusive to police because they were being "belligerent".

He was placed on a $500 good behaviour bond for 12 months.
