Teen allegedly punches elderly man in head

A MORAYFIELD teenager has been charged with serious assault after he allegedly punched an 80 year old man in the head.

A police spokesman said about 4:40pm it was alleged the boy punched an 80-year-old man in the head following an altercation at Cox Dr, Morayfield.

The elderly man was taken to Caboolture Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The 15-year-old boy has been charged with threatening violence and serious assault.

He will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
