Tasty talent is rewarded

AT just 14 years old, Kimberley Slack has found she has real master-chef talent.

The gifted cook was a successful exhibitor at the recent Gayndah Spring Fair.

She won several classes in the cookery section at the fair, which included prizes for her stunning pumpkin fruit cake and plum pudding.

The fair was held for St Matthew's Anglican Church in Gayndah and attracted a large and lively crowd.

Fete secretary Tracey Taylor, who busily worked the barbecue, said there was plenty of entertainment.

The fun included a baby show, cent auction, children's face-painting and plenty of stalls selling plants, cakes and home-made sweets.

In the hall, tables were packed with spring flowers, floral arrangements and pot plants and the walls were covered in children's fun and colourful art show entries.
