Taser charges withdrawn

A BARGARA man appeared in Bundaberg Magistrates Court yesterday for possession of a torch Taser.

The court heard the Taser was seized from the man’s home in December 2008 after police had a discussion with him on the roadside.

However, police prosecutor Sergeant Robyn Shapcott withdrew the charges towards the end of the hearing.

The Streetwise brand lightning-rod model stun pen torch device was to remain in the possession of the police.
